Designed and maintained reusable test cases in Xray with full traceability, running functional, exploratory, regression and integration testing on the insurance platform, prioritized by risk and impact. Ran database-level testing (SQL) and validated data flows through APIs (Swagger), verifying stored procedures, automated jobs and data integrity across every integration point. Managed the full defect lifecycle — documentation, root cause analysis, retesting and regression validation — and investigated client-reported incidents, handing developers clear reproduction steps. Analyzed and assessed feature requests, changes and fixes, bringing quality criteria in from the earliest stages and contributing to effort estimation, sprint planning and backlog refinement, while flagging incomplete acceptance criteria. Coordinated deployments in Octopus Deploy, generated builds in TeamCity and supported production releases, verifying that acceptance criteria were met before go-live. Produced user manuals aligned with the client’s corporate identity, ran functional demos, collaborated cross-functionally with integrated systems teams and managed the QA workflow on a Kanban board. Mentored interns through their onboarding and training in the testing process, and delivered sessions on dynamic testing techniques for the internship program. Delivered company-wide internal talks on ransomware as a service (RaaS) and conflict of interest.

Worked on an international insurer end-to-end platform for insurance quoting and sales, including client and product administration.

QA lead for the area during the final six months, coordinating a five-person team responsible for test execution, their assignments and prioritization. Coordinated and continuously monitored the quality of the enterprise portal’s transactional and inquiry services through the design, planning and execution of test plans. Provided first-level production support to the portal’s corporate customers: incident analysis, documentation and management, escalation of reproducible technical findings and follow-up through to closure. Supported and executed testing in the production environment ahead of customer pilot management. Owned functional assurance of requirements and internal projects, taking part in the design and implementation of adjustments and new portal services. Coordinated quality test automation carried out through the Rational Functional Tester application.

Designed, planned and executed test plans for the enterprise portal’s transactional and inquiry services, continuously monitoring their quality. Delivered the updates and improvements required for Mercury, an application used to manage research projects at the Manizales campus. Operated Mercury to provide timely information on projects and funding calls to the Research Department and the faculty members applying to them. Provided Hermes system support to student research groups, research teams and projects across the campus faculties and departments.
