I work at Santander as a Software Engineer within the Android security team, leading and evolving the application’s core protection layers, with a strong focus on fraud prevention, data protection, and continuous hardening against mobile security threats.

Currently working as a Senior Android Developer at Skeelo, I am responsible for building the new version of the Skoob app — Brazil’s second most used book-related app across several segments, second only to Kindle. This project marks the first version of the app entirely written in Jetpack Compose, replacing a legacy React Native codebase. I serve as the lead technical decision-maker for the app’s architecture and implementation, applying modern Android development best practices using technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Room, DataStore, EncryptedSharedPreferences, Coil, and ProGuard. I also actively configure and maintain tools like Bitrise (CI/CD), Detekt (static code analysis), Appsflyer, Insider, and Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, among others). My role goes beyond coding — I contribute to product decisions, continuously improve legacy code, ensure app security and performance, and collaborate closely with the QA and iOS teams to maintain consistency across platforms.

As a Senior Android Tech Lead at PicPay, I led a team of six interns from the Germinare school in developing a chat SDK, one of the company’s first projects structured as a library. I was the primary decision-maker for all technical aspects of Android development, and I also led the Germinare Tech project, which teaches high school students programming and integrates them into real-world projects within the J&F group. Our project, the largest test project in the program, involved 6 Android interns, 6 iOS interns, and 12 backend interns. In addition to leading Android development, I also supervised and supported the iOS interns, assisting them with tasks and teaching iOS development practices. I utilized cutting-edge technologies and maintained a strong focus on observability, ensuring that useful and accessible metrics were collected for the ongoing optimization of the product. My role extended beyond coding, as I acted as a mentor to young talents, accelerating their growth and preparing them for the professional market.

As an Android Software Engineer, I led two dynamic Android development teams at Itaú. I led the development of the new Itaú chat and IUChat applications, taking ownership of the source code, reviewing pull requests, and providing support to other teams. In addition to leadership, I contributed to app enhancement by generating innovative ideas and proposing new features. I also created diagrams and documentation for the features under my responsibility. Maintaining the source code and supporting team members were essential parts of my role. Our project incorporated various Android technologies, including Broadcast Receiver for efficient communication, the MVVM architectural pattern for separation of concerns, and Dependency Injection with Koin for loose coupling. We followed the principles of Clean Architecture, SOLID, and utilized design patterns. Additionally, we used Crashlytics for error reporting, Google Analytics for user behavior insights, and Dynatrace for app state monitoring. As an Android Developer, I took on the responsibility of developing new features and adhering to best practices. Additionally, I supervised and supported other team members in meeting their requirements. I actively assisted them with their needs and provided guidance as needed. In addition to my supervisory role, I contributed to the development process by creating diagrams for new features and gathering the necessary requirements. These diagrams served as valuable references, enabling the team to visualize and effectively implement the features. Furthermore, I continuously analyzed data collected from tools such as Google Analytics and Google Crashlytics. This data analysis helped identify areas for improvement within the app, allowing me to enhance its performance and address any errors or issues that arise. As part of our development process, we prioritized the inclusion of tests for all features. Moreover, I utilized Firebase and Kotlin to drive the development of the app. Firebase offers a wide range of features, including user authentication, cloud storage, and real-time data analysis. Kotlin, on the other hand, is a modern and powerful programming language that enables writing clean, concise, and highly productive code. With my multifaceted responsibilities encompassing supervision, support, requirements gathering, data analysis, and test implementation, I played a pivotal role in driving the success of the team, ensuring overall quality and reliability of the app.

As a leader, I was responsible for overseeing two apps developed in React Native using JavaScript. I played a comprehensive role, handling everything from UI design to programming, ensuring that the software met the client's needs. Additionally, I was responsible for a website implemented with the MVC architecture, following principles of Clean and SOLID, and utilizing the Primefaces library. In the backend, I utilized the MVC architecture, along with Java and Spring Boot. In addition to development responsibilities, I supervised a team consisting of two full-stack developers and one junior developer. I was involved in guiding their daily tasks and providing support to resolve questions and technical challenges. With my leadership experience and technical expertise, I worked closely with clients to understand their needs and develop customized and efficient software solutions. I adopted agile methodologies to ensure an efficient workflow and clear and transparent communication with the team and clients. By applying best practices such as MVC, Clean, and SOLID in both the website and backend, we strived for a modular, scalable, and easily maintainable architecture. Furthermore, we utilized JavaScript and its libraries, including Firebase and Redux with the duck pattern, in the development of mobile applications. We leveraged Salesforce for push notification capabilities. Additionally, I was involved in an Android Java app, where I implemented the MVVM, Clean, and SOLID principles. This app followed a structured architecture, allowing for better code organization, testability, and maintainability. With my multifaceted responsibilities, including team leadership, feature development, client communication, and supervision of junior developers, I aimed to ensure the delivery of excellent software solutions aligned with the client's needs.
