Overseeing and directing treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and loan administration functions. Designing, implementing and maintaining appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. Providing leadership oversight for risk management activities, developing, communicating and implementing overall financial strategies of the company, and providing oversight for cash flow planning.

Maintaining financial procedures in accordance with financial guidelines of the CDC and other PEPFAR implementing agencies. Ensuring adequate internal controls exist to safeguard the assets of the project, exercising overall responsibility for payment transactions, conducting project budget preparations, monitoring and revision activities, and ensuring that the project accounting records are kept up to date.

Providing business creation and support services to small and medium-sized businesses, assisting interested parties in establishing a business presence in Jamaica, fine-tuning ideas, conducting feasibility assessments, determining the viability of business ideas, assisting with company registration and all other business creation processes, improving the efficiency of existing businesses, and providing the expertise required to improve clients’ financial viability and overall competitiveness.

Coordinating and directing all FMC program finance efforts, reviewing and enhancing technical assistance provided by FMC to lenders, public agencies, non-profit intermediaries, and others on a wide range of residential mortgage lending programs and regulations, and combining data analysis with programmatic knowledge to craft thought leadership pieces.

Partnering with department heads and NYULMC finance division leaders to successfully create, implement and manage the NYULMC comprehensive capital budget totaling US$3.04Billion, updating the capital budget departmental database, collaborating with senior management to identify current trends and project future trends, and advising the PeopleSoft consultants on the medical center's capital budget operations and reporting processes.

Compiling data, creating and analyzing reports regarding the utilization of the agency’s labor hours and the potential cost, preparing and distributing monthly billings, revenue reports and fee reconciliations for all assigned clients, and analyzing and reporting profitability by client to senior management.

Compiling and interpreting customers’ data regarding their spending habits and credit card related activities, providing internal finance support for finance directors and department heads, and preparing and distributing monthly financial reports on departmental revenue and expenditure.

Maintaining and processing IT capital projects financial data in multiple databases, managing and monitoring major IT and project consulting expenditures requests and follow-ups, and improving the department’s MER database which resulted in the reduction of internal clients request processing time.

Developing and managing the Demand Side Management (DSM) Project’s capital and operating budget, participating in the coordination and implementation of the DSM Project’s electricity demand reduction program, and sensitizing energy conservation products and practices island-wide.
