In my previous role as a Data Analyst at Itau Unibanco Holding, I played a pivotal role in establishing a data-driven culture within the loans department. I implemented technical tools to make data consumption and analysis more manageable and effective. Prior to my tenure, the team relied on manual data compilation from Excel reports across various areas of the bank. However, upon joining, I implemented a SQL to PowerBI dashboarding system that allowed for weekly and monthly automation. I also developed and implemented stored procedures to retrieve data for ad-hoc reports efficiently. Additionally, I utilized Python, linear algebra, and descriptive statistics for exploratory analysis of unknown data. To streamline processes, I introduced ETL data pipelines and leveraged Airflow for orchestration. Moreover, I created a VBA application for calculating loans, resulting in the development of 23 variations deployed throughout Paraguay, which are still in use today.
